Walgreens has their W brand Comfort stretch diapers (red and white package) on clearance for $2.39 a pack. Yesterday I saw sizes Newborn, 1 and 2 at this price. I also saw that they had tagged Pullups Cool Alert on clearance for $3.19 a pack (with a $2/1 coupon this would make for cheap pullups!), I never did find any though so I don't know if you'll have any luck finding those!
I have used the Walgreen's brand diapers before and I preferred the premium variety (green package) MUCH better than the red and white package, but if you are in a pinch they might be good to have on hand if you find them.
