Walgreens Trip 12/4/09

I haven't been shopping in over a week (sigh)...but yesterday I was able to do a little bargain shopping and boy did it feel good! Here's what I got at Walgreens yesterday:

Photobucket

I started with $3 in Register Rewards from a previous trip to Walgreens last week. I paid $5.46 for everything pictured above and ended with $12 in Register Rewards. So it was a net profit of $3.54. I am also sending in for a $5 rebate, so it will end up being a net profit of $8.54!

Here's how it breaks down...

Transaction 1:
Dentek Floss - $1.99, Got back $2 RR
Goody's Ouchless Ponytails - $2.00, Got back $2 RR
Dulcolax Balance, $7 Got back $4 RRs
Used $1/1 Dentek Coupon from 10/11 SS
Used $3/1 Dulcolax Balance (hangtag on the bottle or here)
Used $3 Register Reward from previous trip
Paid $4.55 and got back $8 in RR (profit .45)
(and I will send in for a $5 rebate for the Dulcolax)

Transaction 2:
Dentek Floss - $1.99, Got back $2 RR
Goody's Ouchless Ponytails - $2.00, Got back $2 RR
Natrol Acai - $4, Got back $4 RR
2 Toblerone Bars - $1.50 each
Russell Stover's Chocolate Santa - .29 (I was at $3.99 after coupons and needed to spend .01 to use the $4 RR from previous transaction)
Used $1/1 Dentek Coupon from 10/11 SS
Used $3/1 Natrol printable here
Used 2 $1/1 Toblerone from 11/22 SS (regional coupon)
Used $1/2 Walgreens coupon from Healthy Savings booklet (found at the front of the store)
Used $4 RR from the Dulcolax from Transaction 1
Paid .91 and got back $8 RR (profit $3.09)

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT ROLLING REGISTER REWARDS AT WALGREENS: If you want to "roll" register rewards at Walgreens you CAN NOT use a register reward that you receive on the same item. You'll notice I used the Dulcolax RR in my second transaction because I did not buy any Dulcolax again. If you use a RR to buy another of the SAME ITEM - it WILL NOT print another one. So you need to rotate them if you want to make the most out of them!
