Review & Giveaway: Baby Einstein iPhone App and $5 iTunes Giveaway

If your a mom of kids and have an iPhone or an iPod touch, you are like me and always looking for apps that not only offer you value, but ones that your kids will love too -- so that you can keep them entertained at restaurants, in the shopping cart or on the go! My kids are 6 and 4 and they both loved watching Baby Einstein DVDs when they were babies! When I was asked by MomSelect to download this app and review it, I jumped at the chance to see if it would hold their interest just like the videos did just a few years ago.

My 6 year old loves playing with ANYTHING on the iPhone, but I think this app was more fitting for my just-turned-4-yr-old. With the app you can:

• Watch award-winning video segments (comes with 2 videos: Baby Beethoven and Baby Neptune)
• Engage with interactive discovery cards and create your own discovery cards (you get one set of discover cards with app purchase, Colors)
• Create a memory book of special moments of your little one, and you can even sync up to facebook and post status updates from your memory book.
• Preview some of the great music offered by Baby Einstein!

Plus you can buy additional videos for $.99 and new discovery cards for $1.99.

As a mom, I think the content was certainly age appropriate (my 4-yr-old likes to play games that sometimes are for an older child and ends up getting frustrated easily). However, I was a little disappointed with the how many options you had to pay extra for. Fortunately for us, Baby Neptune is one of my child's favorites which is included with the initial download. And I thought the idea of the discovery cards was a fun way for a child to learn colors (again I just wish more discovery cards were included with the initial download).

My 6 year old liked creating a memory book page of himself, but it was rather simplistic and I'm not sure that I'd post it to my facebook.
