Walgreens Trip 12/8/09

Looks like I've officially been sucked back into the Walgreen's game. I've been happily ignoring their deals since the end of the EasySaver program earlier this year (mostly because I'm out of giftcards and have to pay cash oop, the Register Rewards expire too quickly for me, and the hassle of having to rotate register rewards so that new ones will print can be cumbersome). But alas, here I sit with $30 in register rewards that I will now obsess about rolling vs. spending!

Here's what I picked up at Walgreen's today (and yesterday):

I paid $4.46 OOP (out of pocket) for everything shown in the picture above, used $2 in register rewards and earned $20 in register rewards for a net profit of $13.54.

Here's how it breaks down (I did 2 transactions yesterday, and 2 today a different store):

Transaction 1:

2 Chinet Plates - BOGO $2.99 with in ad coupon

2 Triaminic Cough Syrup - 2/$10

1 Snickers Nutcracker - .39 (filler item to use my register reward since at Walgreens you need one item per manufacturer coupon)

Used $2 Register Reward from previous visit

Used BOGO Chinet in ad coupon

Used 2 $1/1 Chinet plates blinkies (found at Jewel or Dominicks)

Used 2 $2/1 Triaminic Cough Syrup 12/6 SS

Used $2/1 Triaminic item Walgreens coupon from Fall Healthy Savings Booklet (coupon deducts $2 for each item purchased so it deducted $4).

Total oop $1.82, got back $5 RR (profit $1.18)

Transaction 2:

2 Triaminic Thin Strips - $2/$10

Used 2 $3/2 Triaminic Thin Strips 12/6 SS

Used $2/1 Triaminic item Walgreens coupon from Fall Healthy Savings Booklet (coupon deducts $2 for each item purchased so it deducted $4).

Total FREE - just paid tax .18, got back $5 RR (profit of $4.88)
