I just received a letter from my Target Visa that announced changes to the Rewards program. Beginning October 17th, your Target REDCard saves you 5% - on almost everything EVERY time you shop (exceptions below), instead of waiting to accumulate 1000 points and earn a 10% of shopping day! I am so excited about this change because whenever I get my 10% shopping day its always the wrong timing or I buy things just to get the most out of it! This way I will 5% off EVERY time I shop - how cool is that! The current program will end on 10/16/10. For every 1,000 points remaining on your REDCard you will keep receiving 10% rewards certificates for up to 6 months.
Here are the exclusions on the 5% discount:
- Prescriptions, Target Clinic, Target Optical
- Target Gift Cards and Prepaid Cards
- Previous purchases
- Target Credit Card payments
- Target Commercial Interiors purchases
- Target Mobile Solutions
- Gift Wrap and Shipping Charges
They are also updating the Target Pharmacy Rewards program. Also starting 10/17, for every 5 prescriptions you fill using your REDCard you'll receive a certificate for 5% off an entire day of shopping AND it can be combined with your 5% everyday savings with your REDCard!
